Many believe that the sea and earth beasts in Revelation chapter 13 who will unite to impose a "mark" upon all are Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump respectively. Yet, while those individuals may exhibit some attributes of those beasts, they are not the Biblical ones; and here's why based on the Bible: 1. A beast represents a kingdom and nation (Psalms 105, Daniel 7, Revelation 16). 2. Thus, those two beasts represent nations; and that disqualifies lone individuals - such as Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump - from being those two beasts. 3. Regarding the sea beast/nation, the sea represents a multitude of nations and people speaking different tongues or languages (Revelation 17). This signifies that this nation would rise among a heavily populated region of people speaking different languages. 4. This sea beast/nation receives nearly worldwide worship. This signifies that this nation would exercise ecclesiastical or religious authority (Psalms 5, 2 Thessalonians 2). 5. This sea beast/nation has crowns on its ten horns. Kings wear crowns (2 Kings 11, Esther 6). This signifies that this nation would exercise civil or state authority. 6. This sea beast/nation speaks blasphemies against God. Blasphemy signifies when a man claims to be God on earth and to have power to forgive human beings of their sins (Daniel 7, Mark 2, Luke 5, John 10). This signifies that this nation would claim to be God on earth and to have power to forgive people of their sins. 7. This sea beast/nation would make war against God's saints, receive a deadly wound and reign for 1260 days. Yet, this is a prophecy, so this nation would reign for 1260 years [a day = a year; Numbers 14, Ezekiel 4]. 8. This sea beast/nation is an amalgamation of the former pagan nations of Greece (leopard), Media-Persia (bear) and Babylon (lion). This signifies that this nation is a conglomerate of paganism and Christianity (Daniel 7, 2 Thessalonians 2, Revelation 17). 9. This sea beast/nation receives its power, seat and great authority from the dragon; and the dragon represents Satan (Revelation 12). This signifies that this nation would receive its religious and state authority from Satan himself. 10. Therefore, the only nation on earth that fits these criteria is the papacy. For let's review: A. Is the papacy a nation? Yes [Vatican City]. B. Did the papacy arise in a heavily populated region of people speaking different languages? Yes [Europe]. C. Does the papacy exercise religious authority and receive nearly worldwide or universal worship? Yes. For 'catholic' means "widespread or universal." D. Does the papacy exercise civil or state authority? Yes [Vatican City]. E. Does the papacy claim to be God on earth and to have the power to forgive human beings of their sins? Yes. For its popes claim to be "God on earth" and the vicar of Christ; and they employ confessionals where one sinful human being confesses their sins to another sinful human being. F. Did the papacy make war against God's saints, receive a deadly wound and reign for 1260 years? Yes. For it used the state to persecute God's people during the Dark Ages [538-1798]; and it was "wounded" in 1798 when General Berthier captured Pope Pius VI in Rome and led him to France where the pope died. G. Is the papacy a conglomerate of paganism and Christianity? Yes. For it employs this union in rites such as Mary veneration, praying to the dead/spiritualism, idol worship, the Eucharist, accoutrements of priests and popes and Easter, Christmas and Sunday services. H. Does the papacy receive its power, seat and great authority from Satan, the dragon? Yes. For Satan wants God's power; and since his expulsion from heaven, Satan has worked through pagan nations to divert humanity's worship from God to himself [when formerly known as Lucifer, the light bearer]. 1. Now regarding the earth beast/nation, the earth represents a sparsely populated region of people not speaking different languages. This signifies that this nation would come up in an area populated with fewer people - like in a wilderness - and not speaking different languages (Job 12 & 38, Revelation 12). 2. This earth beast/nation would come up right after the sea beast/nation of the papacy was "wounded" in 1798. This signifies that this nation - coming up in a sparsely populated region - would appear around 1798. 3. This earth beast/nation has two horns, but there are no crowns on them. Since kings and popes wear crowns, the absence of crowns signifies that this nation would be a state without a king and a church without a pope. 4. This earth beast/nation has lamb-like horns. A lamb is a young sheep and a symbol for Jesus Christ (John 1). This signifies that this nation would be a young one and espouse Christian principles [e.g., claiming to follow Jesus Christ and the Bible]. 5. This earth beast/nation speaks as a dragon. The dragon is a symbol for the Devil and Satan (Revelation 12); and speaking as Satan represents cruelty and force. This signifies that this nation would enact oppressive laws to urge its citizens to comply. For the way a nation "speaks" is through its policies and laws. 6. Therefore, the only nation on earth that fits these criteria is the United States of America. For let's review: A. Did America come up in a sparsely populated region - like a wilderness - with people not speaking different languages [as opposed to the papacy in Europe]? Yes. B. Did America come up around 1798? Yes. For it declared its independence from British rule in 1776. C. Did America originate as a state without a king and a church without a pope? Yes. For that is the secret of America's rise to prominence and prosperity. For it wields the two "horns" of power of Republicanism and Protestantism, ever keeping church and state separate [horns signify power; Daniel 8, Habakkuk 3]. D. Is America a young nation that was founded upon and espouses Christian principles? Yes. For America is only 248 years old compared to the 1486 years of the papacy; and "In God We Trust" is America's official motto with Christianity being the most popular religion believed and practiced by its citizens. E. Has America ever "spake as a dragon" by enacting oppressive policies and laws against its citizens? Yes. For just since 2001 until now, we have witnessed oppressive laws such as the Patriot Act and Covid vaccine mandates; and America having lamb-like horns and speaking as a dragon signifies that it will appear Christian, but act like Satan. Therefore, a day is approaching, dear friend, when the United States of America shall impose an oppressive Sunday observance law* in tribute to the papacy and in a short-lived futile campaign to try and resolve multiple societal ills. Yet, while that legislation will appear Christian - even promoting the general welfare - it will act like Satan against a remnant who ought to obey God rather than men (Acts 5, Revelation 12 & 14). *Revelation 13's mark of the beast. #America #Bible #Papacy
