Just voted in deep blue Los Angeles and had to scroll way down the ballot to find the two most popular Republican candidates for mayor and governor. In a city this blue, is this random… or by design? Voted! Took 2 1/2 hours total. Key problem: Of the 5 iPads to get ballots, two were working. A thought: Let’s roll out new voting systems during mid-term elections rather than presidential. 🤷🏻‍♂️💪🏼🇺🇸🕺🏻#LAVoting

@ThePeterPaige @LACountyRRCC The problem is that it’s not increased turnout; it’s decreased voting locations causing a pileup. All the folks on line reported having no wait last year. Bummer to see a number of folks bailing. #TwoHourWait #LAVoting #VoterSuppression @LACountyRRCC

Unfortunately, it’s true you can vote at any voting center. With deeply problematic results that will suppress voter turnout. My polling station’s line is down the block. Never been a line in the last ten years. I left & will go back later hoping for better. #MajorFail #LAVoting

11 days of voting supposed to start in LA County today with new touch screen machines but at a vote center in Silver Lake workers are having equipment problems and say they aren’t ready to open at 8:00. Maybe 9:00. One voter has left. #KQED #KCRW #LAVoting
