It was with this mission that Giovanni Querini Stampalia founded the Venetian Foundation in 1869. Even today, it remains a symbol of Venetian culture, where history, art, and architecture interact with contemporary life. Thanks to @SerenissimaVe

È con questa missione che, nel 1869, Giovanni Querini Stampalia diede vita a una Fondazione aperta alla città. Ancora oggi è uno dei luoghi simbolo della cultura veneziana, dove storia, arte e architettura dialogano con la contemporaneità.
✨ Dall'Area Scarpa con la mostra Cosmotechnics: Ding Yi as a Planetary Code, al Portego della Biblioteca con Bad Habits di Nigel Cooke, fino alla casa-museo, che con il nuovo allestimento The Dreamer valorizza capolavori di Bellini, Tiepolo e Gabriel Bella.
🎼 Il percorso si conclude con The Invisible Chord. Hans Hartung and Music, dedicata al legame tra pittura e musica.
Un viaggio tra collezioni permanenti, mostre temporanee e architetture d'autore che racconta il passato, il presente e il futuro della cultura veneziana.

It is remarkable to see how Van Gogh painted the most colourful paintings in his ‘darker times’.
During his stay at a psychiatric institution near Saint-Rémy, in the South of France, Van Gogh painted this autumnal landscape. Although initially restricted to painting in his room, he soon resumed working outdoors.
