4) Our final #LocalHistory blog for #Exeter comes from Dr Martin Spychal, from our @TheVictCommons project. 1832's #ReformAct saw mass change to the franchise and constituency boundaries, but what did it mean for Exeter? Read the blog to find out. 👇#LCHM https://t.co/gR3pckueGz

We can't discuss #LocalHistory without the #ReformActs. These changed the franchise, altered boundaries, removed Rotten Boroughs & created new urban constituencies. This blog explores some of the discussions around the 1832 Act 👇 @TheVictCommons #LCHM https://t.co/cYzrpB2yZz

#Constituencies have changed a lot throughout history. Acts of Union with Wales, Scotland & Ireland introduced brand new areas with the right to send members to parliament & huge reform in the 19th c saw boundary lines altered. Parliamentary #LocalHistory is not simple! #LCHM
