GM Cardano! Ever wondered about our long-term vision? It's quite straightforward! We are an Indie Gaming Studio that utilizes Blockchain technology. Our first game, Ale & Axes, will be an engaging and fun browser game that also serves as proof of concept for our approach to gaming. We are taking parts of our game on-chain while not trying to force Web3/Blockchain technologies on our community too much. Our community is the reason we are in our current position; without you, all of this wouldn't be possible. Our strong base community is the reason we are still able to maintain around 150 active players each month within Ale & Axes. Gamified Staking 🥩 - ✅ The first step was to take something familiar (staking) and gamify it. With Dungeon Raids, we achieved exactly that. Our gamified staking launched in December 2022 and has attracted almost 1,000 users since launch. Competitive Aspect 🥷 - ✅ Every game has some competitive aspect. In our case, we came up with "Tavern Brawls". It's a fun and unique experience for our community to compete against each other month after month for the chance to win amazing prizes! Transition into Browser Game 🏃 - in progress With Beyond God's Trench (BGT), we aim to finally start the transition into a full browser game. This transition will be the first and most important step because once BGT has launched, Ale & Axes will already feel like a full clicker browser game to our existing community. Make Ale & Axes Free 2 Play 🆓 - upcoming Making A&A F2P is the only way to go. For a successful game, we need a big player base, and we can't limit ourselves to the collection of 10,000 NFT Adventurers. We are approaching this step very carefully because we want to ensure that Adventurers are still something every player aims to acquire along his/her journey within Ale & Axes. Appeal to Web2 gamers 🎮 - upcoming Part of the transition into a browser game will be transforming our UI/UX to have fewer entry barriers for traditional gamers. Cardano and blockchain technology will remain a big part of our project. We just want to make sure that we can slowly introduce traditional gamers to this side of our ecosystem. PvP Mode ⚔️ - upcoming Yes, you heard right! It's very clear that a PvP mode makes the most sense for us to make our game even more attractive! We can't share many more details at the current stage, but the team is already deep into planning out the full scope. We already figured out how our new Combat System could be integrated into a competitive, engaging, and fun PvP mode. Is this a roadmap? We wouldn't call it a roadmap. We understand the importance of our community being in the loop of what we are building and being able to prepare themselves for what's to come! We rather see this as a chance to show our community and the Cardano community that our long-term vision is set. We've been building for almost 2,5 years on this project and never felt more bullish about ourselves than now 👀😏

⚔️ Tavern Tuesday ⚔️ New Amor + new item category In true gaming fashion we are always making our big announcements on Tuesdays! Today, we have something special for you. Ale & Axes - Beyond God's Trench will not only bring new gear and weapons to our ecosystem but will also introduce multiple completely new item categories, one of which is - shoulders. Let's start with a look at a full set, Armor + Shoulders: This is def one of the more special armor sets 👀 Now let's take a look at the individual parts of this set. Here is just the armor highlighted: Every new armor can be combined with ANY of the new shoulders. This will make the future of Tavern Squad and Ale & Axes even more diverse. Here is a look at the shoulder piece highlighted: All the new gear will be crafted by the community, for the community, and yes, all this will be surrounded by $WYRM. This means Wyrmstone will get quite a lot of utility within Beyond God's Trench! There are a bunch more item categories that will be new. Most of them won't be visible on the PFP version of our Adventurers, though, but we have one more "newish" category that we'll showcase soon!

I bet the players above me in the Brawls Leaderboard are cheating! 😱 Let's talk about what's actually going on and what you can do to improve your Brawling. Overview 📋 Brawling Data Let's start by looking at some data from the past 3 months of Tavern Brawls. - Adventurer holdings in the Top 25 have ranged from 6-226 over the last 3 months - The Uptime* within the Top 10 increased from avg. 89% (October), avg. 92% (November) to avg. 93,3% in December -The Uptime* in the Top 11-25 was at an average of 82% in December - The Duration Modifier** within the Top 10 increased from avg. from 18% (October), avg. 26% (November) to avg. 28% in December - The Duration Modifier** within the Top 11-25 was at an average of 22% We are only looking at a small part of the data here but this data is enough to learn some important key factors. It's getting much more competitive in the Top 10 and the data shows what it takes to be among the best. Raid more, sleep less! 👀🤣 Jokes aside, Uptime is a crucial part of the Duration Modifier; the WHY will be explained further down below. *Uptime = % of possible hours raiding time of all Adventurers combined **Duration Modifier = Average decrease in raid time per raid in % Tips & Tricks How to get better Let's take a look at various topics that can help improve your Brawling performance! One important note to begin with since this will be relevant for multiple topics. Brawl Points are based on time raided per Adventurer. What Depth? Depth 3 What Raid duration? The shorter, the better. We have bonuses on short raid duration, which means the shorter the raid, the higher the Brawl Points bonus. The bonus is the same value as it is for XP, which can be checked in each raid! Adventurer per Raid Try to always use 3 Adventurers per raid. This results in higher success chances which lowers lost Brawl Points from unsuccessful raids. Success Chance Failed raids don't give any Brawl Points. That's why a high average success chance is important because this results in fewer Brawl Points being lost due to failed raids, as mentioned above already. Heroic Mode Raid in Heroic Mode. Enrages give extra Brawl Points! Uptime Probably the factor that currently matters the most. The gap in Uptime between top-placed players and "the rest" is massive. Try to improve on that, don't let your Adventurers spend too much time in the Tavern. They gotta be out there raiding 24/7!!!! Big Bag Bonus Yes, it's not a myth, this bonus exists. Holding a lot of Adventurers results in having to manage many more Raid Squads than other players, which results in much more playing time needed to compete. Therefore, we decided to have the big bag bonus, which simply gives bonus Brawl Points depending on the amount of Adventurers owned. 1-75 Adventurers - linear bonus with ~+21% at 75 Adventurers 75-225 Adventurers - additional ~+19% at 225 Adventurers, the bonus per Adventurer gets smaller the closer you get to 225 Max. total bonus at 225+ Adventurers = +40% If you feel like you are short of Adventurers, don't worry... we have something coming for you in the future 😏 Duration Buffs/Modifiers Since Brawl Points are based on time raided, using duration buffs actually decreases the total Brawl Points earned per raid since the raid duration decreases. Here comes the catch, though, which makes the Duration buffs/modifiers very strong. 25% of the decrease in Brawl Points is added back to the total Brawl Points. Quick example: If you have a raid with 100 Brawl points as a base and you reduce the raid time by 20%, the total Brawl Points would also be reduced by 20% to 80. 20 Brawl Points have been "taken away", 25% of that (5 Brawl Points) is added back to the earned Brawl Points, resulting in 85 Brawl Points earned. In this case, it results in about 6% more Brawl Points, but the bigger the duration modifier, the higher the % of additional Brawl Points. The Duration Modifier is highly undervalued and can result in quite some amazing results! Shrine of Brunthar The Shrine of Brunthar increases the Brawl Points earned when it's active while claiming raids. Try to keep that in mind and have it activated as much as possible. That's it!
