As we come to the end of term, we wanted to say thank you to #LGSCaring Year 12 and 13 families who donated to the 'Give a Gift' initiative organised by @madhubedi last weekend, as well the students who helped to distribute gifts and interact with the children who attended.
Students across the school have been busy making poppies for a display to mark Remembrance Day. Using recycled materials such as plastic bags and bottles students have created a wonderful collection of poppies. #LGSCaring #LGSCreative

Following an enrichment lecture before half-term, we're pleased to welcome representatives of @AnthonyNolan who support people living with Leukaemia. #LGSCaring students in Yr13 have been volunteering to do a swab to see if they are eligible to sign up to the Stem Cell register.
We're really pleased that so many #LGSCaring students complete the #DofE each year - particularly the opportunity to volunteer: perhaps by giving back to their community, developing a passion for a particular cause, or learning a new skill - Volunteering changes lives!

#LGSCaring 11V girls did a great job last week organising a Bake Sale to raise funds for @BritishRedCross DEC Appeal for Ukraine - we're very pleased to tell you that £615.94 was contributed. Thank you to everyone involved!

As we come towards the end of week 2, our #LGSCaring teachers have been looking for ways to integrate non-screen activities: Y12 biologists made model lungs at home to lead into work about oxygen transport in mammals, presenting to each other in @MicrosoftTeams breakout rooms.
