More and more, all of the trade since January looks like a massive top formation in both #feedercattle and #livecattle. #LIVECATTLE Following last Thursdayβs bearish engulfing candle that brought price back to ascending support, bulls stepped in Friday and stabilized the decline with a spinning top.
Today, buyers are following through with a bullish engulfing candle, giving us a potential pivot at ascending support.
This could generate further upside, but momentum will be critical.
The last thing bulls want is for this bounce to develop into a bear flag, especially following the recent death cross.
Strong follow-through that invalidates the bear flag and recaptures the overhead moving averages would significantly improve the technical picture.
Until then, treat the move as a bounce and measure momentum carefully.

The pattern suggests buyers are beginning to challenge bearish momentum after an extended decline, with RSI now at 26, highlighting deeply oversold conditions.
Traders looking for a long entry are hoping this marks a liquidity sweep that traps late sellers and sets the stage for a pivot low reversal.
However, confirmation is still required. A close above the highs of the last two candles on Friday would confirm the pivot and increase the probability of a potential bounce.
Until bulls deliver that confirmation, bears remain firmly in control and this should be viewed as a developing setup rather than a completed reversal.
