@dave_pasin @darcynews @steeletalk This "full" school problem going to get much worse in coming years since @VSB39 #LRFP only factors "constructed started" into plans, not approved plans. Plus young generation advocating for density (good) but without an overall plan (bad) fuels problem. https://t.co/0rJfceawMK

@Scott_dLB Coruscant's got schools. Your generation is getting screwed over when City & VSB can't plan together = Kindergarten Lotteries. Advocate for a more Purposeful Density: Densify areas where school space exists; build amenities & school space where too much current density exists.

@CarrieBercic Ecstatic for AR Lord community! This overall neighbourhood and family of schools is *still* not forecasted to grow in the latest VSB forecasts released last month in #LRFP. This defies ground truth and does not establish trust. Over to you @CarmenCho17 to fix. #vanre #vanpoli

@pattibacchus @bcliberals @bcndp Same old "empty seat" narrative exists in Vancouver. This is not a @bcedplan problem per se. VSB Trustees need to learn from neighbour to the south & select a reasonable goal so that there is no narrative anymore and action can start on proper planning. VSB #LRFP blank on goal.

The @VanDPAC Facilities Committee invites you to hit the "Next" button! Preferred School Size will be the 1st rollout from the just passed @VSB39 #LRFP. Lots of implications; mainly that small schools do not offer optimal educational value. 📧 [email protected] to join!

2/ Massive shout-out to Trustee @reddyforchange for bringing all Six @VanDPAC recommendations forward as motions! Vision was incorporated into the core #LRFP so while other five motions defeated, many Trustees said good things about the recommendations so that's on record.

1/ The @VSB39 Trustees pass a "C-" grade #LRFP. Here's the good news thread! The Ministry of Education ought to let the $$$ flow so hopefully we'll get 3 or 4 schools seismically upgraded. The Olympic Village School is separate, using recovery $$$ but get that rolling too!
