There are two very important sections that really need reading again in order to take in the seriousness of how @UKLabour responded to The Forde Report. They are:
Forde ignored - page 405
Silencing Forde - page 413
It was absolutely outrageous how Starmer, Adam Langleben, Euan (David Gordstein) Phillipps, David Evans et al and even the BBC treated Martin Forde - both personally and professionally.
A paragraph on page 426 about the candidate stitch-ups at last year’s election caught my eye. As usual, Paul Holden was spot on - in this case in his description of Starmer and McSweeney’s preferred type of candidate:
‘…..the vast majority of selected candidates were drawn from a tiny demographic: white, middle-class, with backgrounds in ‘respectable’ professions….and, as it would later emerge, with careers in lobbying.’
You read these sections and you gain a clearer understanding of what Martin Forde meant when he described a ‘hierarchy of racism’ in Starmer’s Labour Party.
