JUST IN: Today in China, @followlasg, @mofinigeria and China Harbour Engineering company (CHEC) signed an MOU for this #LagosGreenLine Rail Project, the 3rd of color-coded #LagosRail lines, after #LagosBlueLine and #LagosRedLine.
MOFI and CHEC will arrange financing.
One of #LagosMetro Lines I'm most looking forward to is the Green Line: 68km from Marina, through VI, Lekki 1, Ajah, Lekki 2, Ogombo, Elepetu, Eluju, (planned) Lekki Airport, and ending at Lekki Free Trade Zone.

Today, February 29 2024, the 24.5km Lagos Red line is being commissioned. It will join the 12km Lagos Blue line, which opened in Sept 2023 as the second rail rapid transit line in the city bringing the total system length to 36.5km.
@dabiodunMFR was with fellow governors to celebrate with @jidesanwoolu at the #LagosRedLine launch.
The train goes from Oyingbo and stops at Agbado in Ogun state; a great relief for those that ply the roads.
Plans to extend it beyond Agbado is in motion by @followlasg and @OGSG_Official
Payment Options: Director Rail says We are still using the Cowry card system also for the Red Line Rail, you can buy your card and top up at the Train Station or Bus Station or through the app. The fares for the Red Line Rail have not been set yet.
