Debug views are so satisfying to watch! Here's one for the Sub Fog feature, which reduces the FOW sampling cost. Every pixel rendered in black only needs a single sample from the fog texture! 😎

Working on a "SubFogTexture," a low-res fog result using compression, convolution & XOR. It cuts GPU load by marking 1s for heavy blur & 0s for minimal work, post-process time dropped from 3.08 to 1.30! 🎉

Ok so this is the closest I could get with the distance field. I suppose I could tweak the parameters a bit more, but I’ll leave that for the plugin users🙃 I've still plenty of features to work on

1/3🧵Currently I'm working with the distance field to make the fog propagate and retract more naturally and so far... the debug is looks cooler than the feature x)

I finally tackled something that should’ve been done ages ago! You can now resize the fog to any dimensions, not just a square… doesn’t seem like much, but it feels good x)

A MOBA template will be included in the demo project for the upcoming release! This should simplify the prototyping phase and provide insight into how to correctly set up the plugin over the network.

The summer update for the FOW is nearly here! Check out the preview of the HeatTexture feature, which will enable smoother transitions between fog states. No coding require, just a simple toggle to activate😎
