If Latin America was poor, the fault, in his opinion, was of the #Capitalism of the United States and not of the illiberal regimes that copied the #SovietSystem. He sympathized with #LiberationTheology, which kept the #Kalashnikov next to the #Crucifix. When he traveled to #LatinAmerica, without ever setting foot in his #Argentina, he accepted a gift from #Morales, then president of #Bolivia: a #Crucifix with a #HammerAndSickle. Once elected Pope, he preached for #IllegalImmigration in favor of a #MultiRacialSociety. He purged the hierarchies of the #CatholicChurch by removing the so-called #Conservatives and multiplying the number of so-called #ProgressiveCardinals. Now it will be the majority of #LeftWingCardinals who will choose his successor. Someone like him, presumably. Unless the #HolySpirit shows up and leads to the election of a centrist like #PietroParolin. An epochal task awaits the next Pope: to relaunch the #ChurchMagisterium and rebuild #CatholicUnity.
