Dear Zimbabweans, our own kith and kin deserve a national week of mourning and our flag at half-mast. Let’s speak with one voice on this matter. 🙏🏽#LetUsMournTogether💔🇿🇼

🔹A dark cloud is hovering over our nation. We have lost more than one hundred of our fellow citizens in a tragic accident in Kariba, yet our politicians carry on as if nothing happened. By now, the government should have declared a week of national mourning, lowered flags to half-mast, and ensured that grieving families receive all the support they desperately need, including professional counselling, spiritual prayers, and financial assistance. 🔸Politicians only think about the citizens when they need our votes or when they are passing laws to keep themselves in power. It is high time we open our eyes and demand accountability! #LetUsMournTogether💔🇿🇼

🔹A week of national mourning, with our flag flying at half-mast, is not a favour granted by the government. It is our sacred national duty. The death toll has now risen to 95 innocent souls. We must honour them. We must demand accountability. #LetUsMournTogether 💔🥹🫶🇿🇼
