Visitor numbers have risen markedly compared with January 24, with Japanese tourists particularly prominent, some lining up to purchase boat tickets as early as 5 a.m. Thapanee said she had urged provincial authorities to strengthen on-site management, describing the current period as a “golden opportunity” for the Red Lotus Sea and stressing the need to balance rising demand with effective capacity management. TAT recommends visiting between mid-January and mid-February 2026, when red lotuses are in full bloom across more than 25,000 rai. According to TAT, many foreign tourists who were previously unfamiliar with the site decided to travel specifically after seeing the Amazing Thailand x Lisa campaign, aiming to retrace the locations featured and recreate images from the promotional materials. Since the season opened, cumulative visitor numbers have reached around 50,000, with foreign tourists accounting for more than half. Boat services are now operating at least 100 trips per day, including on weekdays.
