❗️KY Legislative Action Alert❗️ House Bill 204 is hung up in the committee, and we need to take action in order to get a vote on this important bill. HB 204 is a bill repealing a part of Kentucky's Certificate of Need laws. Right now, in Kentucky law a healthcare provider must ask permission from the government to expand operations, add beds, or make major equipment purchases. A part of this process is something called the competitor's veto. The competitors veto means that if the other healthcare providers in your area decide they don't want competition, they can tell the government to not approve a competitor's expansion. HB 204 removes the competitor's veto as a part of the Certificate of Need process. Right now, the bill is hung up in the House Health Services Committee because Chair Rep. Moser refuses to call the bill forward for a vote. Call LRC at 1-800-372-7181 and ask to leave a message for Rep. Moser telling her to call HB 204 forward. @WitzkeforDE Profits before principles is why. I even saw a commenter on @DHS_Wolf's tweet asking him to hurry up with the visas so she could have farm workers! It is a #LobbyistsFirst policy dominating the immigration narrative in Washington now.
