The @theSNP has written off the value of the motorhome bought by former chief executive Peter Murrell with party funds - according to the party's balance sheet which was published on Thursday by the Electoral Commission & shows the value of the £100k vehicle has been removed from its books.
Murrell embezzled over £400k & was snared during the Operation Branchform police investigation, with the motorhome becoming an object of ridicule & scorn.
It also emerged in the accounts that Murrell is still owed £60k from a loan he gave the party in 2021 & remains on the balance sheet, but the party says he has not 'formally requested' the sum back as there is no loan agreement, no interest charged on the outstanding balance & no specific repayment terms agreed.🥴
