Some exciting news… BRICK, Poems from the First Year of a Pandemic, is now available to order on Amazon.
Many thanks to all the friends worldwide who first read these poems and encouraged me to keep going. #BrickPoetry #LockdownPoems

The Lake Contemporary Poetry Webzine July edition is now live. It is a great place to be published and I have a #poem about school work at the beginning of the school lockdown with my son. #lockdownpoems https://t.co/IkwX9ZCwGc
Sadly Bruce and I didn’t win the #peoplesbookprize with our #lockdownpoems but we still have each other and we are still writing. Bruce would like to send you a free copy @rickygervais We love afterlife and think you are a genius. Thank you. 🐾🐾

As we emerge from #Lockdown this is a great website with loads of poems and creative writing which tell the story of many people's experiences of a life less normal. #ALifeLessNormal #InspirationInIsolation @InspoInIso https://t.co/4KfzJtMCSf #LockdownPoems #creativewriting
I’ve been rubbish at uploading my #LockdownPoems to Twitter, and I had a little break as well - but I’m back writing now so here’s a little March poem 🌤

We wanted to share these thought provoking and heart warming poems that Year 4 wrote about their experience of lockdown.

Thanks for reading! This one is about the importance of imagination and the quote that prompted it. #poetrycommunity #lockdownpoems #poetry #WritingCommunity #readingquotes #Imagine #imagination

Can’t take anymore gloom, doom, Zoom
Too much bleurrgh, sod all BOOM!
Oh to feel some zing! bing! ding!
Bugger off winter, roll on spring…

Happy full moon lovelies!🌝#LockdownPoems number 20 almost didn’t happen because I am completely out of inspiration having not been further than 3 streets away for about two weeks. But it’s the first full moon of the year so I decided to write about that. 🌕🌝✨

#LockdownPoems number 19 happened on my walk today. I feel like since taking up this project I notice everything around me so much more; searching for inspiration. Feedback welcome please! ❄️✨👀

#LockdownPoems number 18 is just a continuous brain dump really 🧠 Always thinking. Feedback welcome as always ☺️

#LockdownPoems number 17 is another snow one, sorry. ❄️ But today we woke up in a fluffy white snow blanket and then spent a few hours outside enjoying it and it was so lovely. This is also the first time I’ve used an image taken by me for these poems. 📸 Feedback welcome pls 🥰

Hello everyone! I took a few days off from #LockdownPoems because I was getting super burnt out and not feeling great. So we’ll carry on with poem 16 now that I’ve had a break and feel refreshed. We had 5 minutes of snow today! ❄️🥰 Feedback welcome please! 📝

In the bleak midwinter
Lockdown hell made moan
Disease stood all around us
We couldn’t leave our homes
Rain had fallen, rain on rain
Rain on rain
In the bleak midwinter
Of Covid 19 pain

Day 15 of #LockdownPoems! ✨📝 I’m sure it speaks for itself really, but lockdown gives a person a lot more time to think about who they are/who they’ve been/where they’re going, so I wanted to capture that a little bit. Feedback welcome (please!) 👇🏼🤓

Day 14 of #LockdownPoems I asked my manager to provide me with a word to base my poem around today and ‘perennially’ was her choice. I’ve also taken out grammar / punctuation to make it feel unstructured and without routine, just as our days feel in lockdown. Feedback welcome 📝

For day 13 of #LockdownPoems I’m joined by my pals @gldematteis and @KeziaRose ✍🏻 We picked a theme; things we missed/didn’t appreciate from before lockdown. The first one is mine, second is Gabby’s and third is Kezia’s 💓 So proud of my talented friends for these brilliant poems

Day 12 of #LockdownPoems 🌞 It was sunny for about an hour today and it was glorious (before the rain came again 🌧) Feedback welcome! ✨

Day 11 of #LockdownPoems 🐦 There’s not a lot of inspiration about at the moment, clearly. It’s nice to write about the little things though, makes me appreciate them more. Thanks to my pal @molly_martian for helping me craft the right ending for this!! 💓 feedback welcome! ✨

Day 10 of #LockdownPoems ❄️ My current mood is that I was super looking forward to the New Year +starting afresh, but it’s almost impossible when we’re in lockdown + there’s no light outside + everything is grey. I feel a bit better about it now though having written this poem 🌧
