Labour is now committed to its section 28 on steroids Let’s remember: section 28 was a horrendous law that intimidated teachers and others, suppressed the dissemination of information about homosexuality. It was homophobic and it was awful. But it did not create a criminal offence. It did not prescribe penalties. The Labour Party’s draft bill to ban “conversion practices” is also homophobic. It also sets out to suppress the dissemination of information. But it is far, far worse than section 28 It will criminalize a parent who says: “No, you’re a boy. Maybe you’re gay. That’s fine: Let’s get you some therapy to explore the causes of your distress.” It will criminalize a parent who says “No, I refuse to pay for binders, blockers, testosterone. You’re a girl. It’s fine to be a lesbian.” Such conversations may cause extreme distress. The minor may call them abusive. We’re talking about a criminal offence of refusing to allow your child to take harmful drugs. Of suggesting she might be a lesbian - not a boy. Of refusing to go along with her insistent demands. ***With a potential 5-year prison sentence.•*** Let’s stop Labour’s Section 28! We will not accept this latest iteration of anti gay and anti lesbian legislation - however well it is dressed up to look “progressive.”

📣🚨CONVERSION THERAPY BAN PETITION The Government has announced it intends to press ahead with a ban on conversion therapy. Like most 'bans', this sounds benign. How could anyone not want to ban giving electric shocks to gay kids? But the fact is, that's already against the law, as are all the other coercive practices conjured up by the phrase 'conversion therapy'. So what is it the Government wants to ban, exactly? The answer is 'converting' children who think they're trans to being 'cisgendered'. That's where the impetus for this ban has come from — well-funded pro-trans lobby groups like Stonewall and Mermaids. So any parent who 'misgenders' their confused adolescent daughter, or tries to talk them out of embarking on an irreversible medical pathway, could face criminal charges for trying to 'convert' them. And we're not talking about out a slap on the wrist. In the state of Victoria, Australia, which brought in a conversion therapy ban in 2021, the maximum penalty for trying to 'convert' someone is 10 years in prison. It won't just be parents and medical professionals who will risk imprisonment for trying to talk gender-confused children out of mutilating themselves. Any religious leader who shares the teachings of their faith on issues like homosexuality and gay marriage, could also face prosecution. That's what this authoritarian Government wants to ban — any dissent from radical progressive orthodoxy when it comes to sex and gender. But stopping parents talking honestly to their children about the risks of irreversible medical procedures will cause actual, real world harm. People campaign, rightly, against the use of animals in drug testing, but it seems it is okay to conduct clinical trials on puberty blockers using 11 year children. People often claim 1.7% of the population is “intersex,” neither male nor female, but here’s the actual data. 88% of that number involves late onset congenital adrenal hyperplasia, an adrenal gland issue causing higher testosterone in unambiguous, usually fertile males or females! The next most common one is 47:XXY Klinefelter Syndrome, making up only around 5% of the total. This is a male specific sex chromosome disorder, resulting in unambiguous males with testes that have lower T and impaired sperm production. The next most common is 45:X Turner Syndtome, making up around 2.35% of the total. This is a female specific sex chromosome disorder, resulting in underdeveloped ovaries, heart issues, and more. Further down the list we get to something like XY Swyer Syndrome, so rare it makes up only 0.05% of the total. This involves an XY embryo that is unable to differentiate the gonads into testes due to gene mutations, so the embryo develops no differentiated gonads. Genetic networks then develop the Müllerian duct system—oviducts, uterus, cervix, vagina, vulva—resulting in a female. We could go on, but you get the point. The claim that 1.7% of the population is neither male nor female is a complete lie. Not only is the majority of this statistic made up of unambiguous males or females, but even the rarer disorders in the list result in male or female pathways.

How can we even begin to tackle the modern version of adversity that seeks to reframe homosexuality to include those of the opposite sex? That has seen lesbians having to go to court in the UK and Australia simply to maintain the legal recognition of homosexuality (or in the case of Australia find a way to claw it back)? That has seen a lesbian brought to tears at a tribunal when asked why males can’t be lesbians? How on earth can you take issue with me saying that men can’t be lesbians??? And how can you claim to be aware of the historic fight for gay rights while not having any awareness (or lacking the courage to acknowledge it) of how for at least the last decade these have been under threat from ‘gender’? Don’t pretend to know our struggle if you can’t even say what a homosexual is I mean… seriously!
