Great thread,not only pointing issues but also suggesting solutions. One caveat with interconnectors however, it's not only about the size of the cable but ability to use them from a TSO perspective #loopflows #transitflows 👇

Europe is currently experiencing a Power Crunch which could stay for a while. For medium-term (for 2025) there is an untapped massive dispatchable and zero carbon electricity source in Western Europe : EDF nuclear reactors.

@markcojuangco @DerClue @SimeonPreuss Because Germany is balancing its grid with countries around it. This is a problem as it reduces grid flexibility AND renewables potential in countries around them. So Germany has a high penetration of RE but they can always dump excess power to others. Also: #loopflows
