Most of my patients still focus on the total cholesterol numbers. Most cardiologists don’t even look at this number! It's all about the LDL. Please know your LDL and your target numbers based on your risks. #loweryourLDL

For me, it’s mostly about the “bad” cholesterol. This is our primary treatment target for CAD prevention. The so called “good” cholesterol is way more complicated than we used to believe. I’d rather call it “generally not bad” rather than good!! #cholesterol #loweryourLDL #heartsmart
