Around 30 L more people voted in #WestBengalLegislativeAssemblyelection2026 as compared to 2021 Assembly.
That means there is an increase of 10K votes per assembly in 2026 as compared to 2021.
The only area where voting came down is at #Matua belt.
The top 13 Assembly segments where Matua is high and Muslims are low saw an decrease of absolute voting by 65K in total in 2026 as compared to 2021.
So overall West Bengal Voting increased by 10K per Assembly.
At Matua area Voting decreased by 5K.
I will be keenly watching these seats on 4th May.
How #Matua community voted in #WestBengalLegislativeAssemblyelection2026 ?
I segregated the assembly segments where Muslim votes are less than 20% and SC votes are more than 29%.
There are 13 such assembly segments where Matua community is deciding factor (Refer attached pic for details)
These are the assembly segments which was hit by SIR. Total 1,77,585 voters are put under adjucation. It means that they are alive but cant vote in this election. Around 80% of them are Hindus (Majorly Matuas)
BJP won 12 out of these 13 seats in 2021 Assembly election and BJP was leading in all of them in 2024 LS election.
Interestingly, in these 13 Assembly segments, 65914 people less voted in 2026 Assembly as compared to 2021 Assembly.
55659 people less voted in 2026 Assembly as compared to 2024 Parliament.
BJP wanted more people to vote from here.
If BJP loses a section of matua vote ( i sense that BJP will lose around 8-10% vote share from here) then AITC can expect to win atleast 4-5 seats from here in 2026.

Under BANGAON (SC) LS, there are 7 Assembly segments.
Muslim Voters under BANGAON (SC) LS is 18.1%.
Hindu Voters under BANGAON (SC) LS is 81.9%.
SC voters under BANGAON (SC) LS is 43%. Majority of them are from #Matua community.
The consolidation of Hindu votes for BJP in the previous Election as follows :
2019 LS - 60.5%
2021 Assembly - 55.1%
2024 LS - 59.2%
78269 voters are put under adjucation from BANGAON (SC) LS after SIR. It means that they are physically available but they will not be able to vote in #WestBengalLegislativeAssemblyelection2026
Around 50K of them are from Hindu community (mainly Matua community )
I am eagerly waiting what will be the reaction from the relatives of such people.
The fear is real. These people believes that if they cant prove their existence with documents then they will be put in detention camp.
Also if the consolidation of Hindu votes becomes 50% at BANGAON (SC) LS in favour of BJP because of the SIR reaction, then it will be almost impossible for BJP to cross the majority mark.
Lets watch out the trend of voting under BANGAON (SC) LS area tomorrow.
