MEAC researchers alongside practitioners from @FBAFolke & @undpiniraq came together to disseminate insightful evidence from #Iraq on the reintegration journeys of individuals with perceived #ISIL affiliation. #MEAC23
UNIDIR researchers were joined by experts from @CostaRicaONU, @UN_Disarmament & @UNPeacekeeping at the #MEAC23 Workshop to share evidence on how international cooperation in the retention and disposal of weapons relates to reintegration progress in the context of armed conflicts.
Diverse perspectives shared by experts from @GermanyDiplo, @BrookingsInst & @FirstCallPtrs at the #MEAC23 Workshop shed light on the complex nature of ‘exit’ from armed groups that provide community security, and the implications for programming and policy in #Nigeria and #Iraq.
