#MLAF concluded with a roundtable panel moderated by Black Sea CONNECT Co-Coordinator @mustyucel.
The panel introduced the newly established Operational Network of Funders (ONF) of the Black Sea #SRIA, an initiative facilitated by #BlackSeaCONNECT.
As the most comprehensive event on #marinelitter, #MLAF also covered Plastic Circularity session, moderated by @olgacguven of @Akdenizun
In the session, @k_ciliz of @UniBogazici shared insights about #plastic: "Plastics disposed into #Mediterranean is more than in #PacificOcean"
It has been a fantastic awareness-raising campaign conducted by @BlackSeaYouth Oana Poiana 📸 and the photo contest exhibition took a lot of attention at @ConnectBlackSea #MLAF. So happy to be part of the #BSYA journey.

In the posters session, we heard about different studies that conduct research on #plasticwaste, #marinelitter, and #marineenvironment as well as an investment startup #Tene that produces #ecofriendly USB cables.
The story of the #BlackSea became more visible!
The winners and selected photographs from #PhotoContest "Visual Storytelling of the Black Sea: Different Shores, Different Reflections, and One Sea" were exhibited at #MLAF with the participation of one of the winners, Tolga Taymaz
Science and research aspect of #marinelitter went beyond with side events!
At #MLAF, where marine litter awareness-raising exhibition "Yüzleşme/Confrontation" by Şinasi Yelkenci took place, attendees could have a chance to see stunning art pieces from waste collected from seas.
Creating spaces for learning, teaching & co-creation of knowledge!
#ErasmusMaris gives room for students to learn more about marine environment & understand how to preserve it with different activities.
