I did a release ~month ago and it broke deployment of Azure Stack HCI in #MSLab. I did not notice, and yesterday I went deep into the troubleshooting what the heck happened.
The issue was, that NetATC deployed networking and immediately after that Failover Cluster validation failed. What happened?
I released new lab month ago to be able to create multiple networks and route it in DC. To be able to create multiple networks (in multiple VLANs) I modified deployment script to add trunk to Management VMNic in DC. I published Hands On Lab here https://t.co/NQm3Xartkd
What I did not know is, that for some reason, all VLANs received IP from DHCP (DHCP is running in VLAN0 - Native VLAN). As result, when NetATC created SMB vNICs, those for some (unknown) reason received IP from management scope from DC. Did I miss something and it's by design?
The only way to prevent this happening (the only I figured out) is to add VMswitch into DC (this also allows creating unlimited number of networks as you can create vlan isolated networks by juts creating vNIC).
So the last #MSLab release does fix all and new DC has vSwitch included from the hydration phase.

You'll find out its well documented, its one and only tool that can do anything and you can use it as consistent documentation. Never failed me. All scripts and scenarios from #MSLab works, even some of it is 5years old.

I went through #MSLab scenario I created 4 years ago, where I captured #S2D performance with Telegraf into InfluxDB and present it into Grafana dashboards. There are so many great, but almost forgotten Windows Server technologies in this lab. Certification Authority, Certificate templates for Grafana and DC, LDAPS (to authenticate to Grafana using domain credentials), IPSec (to secure InfluxDB)...
