I was FINALLY able to get some bench time today: one delicious coat of #Vallejo Premium satin varnish airbrushed on the #Vanquisher ready for the weathering to start tomorrow (hopefully). #Macharius #Forgeworld #DeathKorps #Krieg #paintingminis #40k #GamesWorkshop

One coat of AK Track Wash later & I have a nice, patchy & rusty base colour for the tracks, ready for weathering/graphite later. Applied some to the spare tracks & engine too, for fun. #Macharius #Vanquisher #MachariusVanquisher #Forgeworld #DeathKorps #DeathKorpsofKrieg #Krieg

Kept working on the #Vanquisher after today's show, doing little detail bits. Plenty of little bits to do before satin varnish and weathering starts. I decided that Death Korps heavy stubbers have old-skool wooden grips. #Macharius #Forgeworld #DeathKorps #DeathKorpsofKrieg

With time really limited at the bench over the last few weeks it's taken AGES, but the #Vanquisher's basecoat chipping is done. Next is decals, some alliance stripes & detail painting and then THAT will need chipping (always with the chipping)! #Macharius #Forgeworld #DeathKorps

Chipping is slowly coming along on the #Vanquisher, light chips filled with rust chips. A VERY slow process, most of which will vanish when the rest of the weathering goes on top! #Macharius #MachariusVanquisher #Forgeworld #DeathKorps #tabletop @WarComTeam

16 hours into the build, the bench is a carnage zone, and although this thing is kicking my ass, I am enjoying the challenge. And thanks to a slight miscalculation, there will forever be a dressmaker's pin rattling round inside the void of the hull. #Macharius #Vanquisher
