The Algebra classes simulated the Capture-Recapture method used by wildlife biologists to count species in a population. They used Goldfish to determine how many fish were in their lake. This is a fun way to introduce proportions.

Speedy Squares activity in College Algebra to collect data for quadratic regression. Students had to time each other making squares of different sizes using interlocking cubes and graph the results. Then they made a model to predict time to make a 26x26 square.
