We now have an app by RBI for blinds to identify denomination of rupee notes. #MANIApp. Nice! The blind navigates through the app on his own, holds the note against the camera at a certain distance & the app would tell the denomination. Blind: Kis akal ke andhe ka sujhaav tha ye?

2) This #MANIapp is capable of identifying the denominations of Mahatma Gandhi, Series banknotes by checking front or reverse side at various holding angles and a broad range of light conditions. Please inform anyone in your circle who is sight challenged.

1) RBI has launched Mobile Aided Note Identifier or #MANIApp, to aid visually challenged persons in identifying the denomination of currency notes. The application is free and can be downloaded from the Android Play Store and iOS App Store without any charges or payment.
