I cannot get enough of game theory. “The Art of Strategy” by Dixit and Nalebuff was a great next-read after “Thinking strategically”. Now I can’t wait to get my hands on “The game theorist’s guide to parenting”! #matemagi #mathreads #gametheory

The table shows the square of numbers ending in 5. What do you notice? What do you wonder? #mtbos #iteachmath #mattetwitter #matemagi (Inspired by the book "Mathematics for human flourishing" by @mathyawp)

Fantastisk video om coronaviruset och exponentiell och logistisk tillväxt. #matemagi #maund #COVID19

With recorded COVID-19 cases (outside china) so eerily matching an exponential, I couldn't resist making a primer on exponential/logistic growth. At least 3 counterintuitive things about this kind of growth seem worth putting into the discussion. https://t.co/UNqvsybiAL

Create a 3-digit # where all digits are the same. Divide it by the sum of its digits. Did you get 37? This is one of the tricks from this book by @AdamBoddison. I love how this trick can bring out your students’ curiosity and kick start a lesson on algebra #matemagi #mtbos
