Today I’m petitioning and a guy asked me “Do you know how to foxtrot?” I said, “I don’t, but if you lead I’ll do my best.” Never a dull day campaigning. 😂 #MayaForCongress

1) Petitioning day 14. Met a really wonderful woman named Petra. I saw her struggling to carry a table and I asked her if she needed help. She said yes. So I carried it for her for 13 blocks as we talked about her coping with a head injury and landlord issues. #MayaForCongress

Petition signature goal for today met! Guess the Yankees/Mets hat didn’t hurt. What I heard today: “This is the first time I’ve met a candidate running for office before.” & “It’s so nice to meet a candidate.” Thanks to all who’ve volunteered to petition mañana! #MayaForCongress

Here are the environmental bills she’s introduced in 30 years. Has she co-sponsored more? Sure. That’s the easiest action to take in Congress. The fact that this is her first bill addressing environmental racism in our district is astounding, no, it’s insulting. #MayaForCongress
