Gordon Guyatt, the "father" of Evidence Based Medicine (the gold standard) expresses over and over again in this interview with @jessesingal that his team's decision to pull out of the systematic reviews of pediatric "gender affirming care" was because they couldn't take the "trauma" (his words not mine) of the attacks by trans-activists.
I have to say, at this point, when trans-identified people are shooting up Christian schools and stating in their manifestos that most of their pain and anger stems from their "gender incongruence," that Guyatt's cowardice is particularly disgusting. This is scientific and medical malfeasance.

If I read this correctly, here you have the father of evidence-based medicine agreeing that it would be nice if parents could make evidence-based decisions about their teen daughters getting double mastectomies for gender-transition purposes, but suggesting that more important than that such evidence exist is that his and his university's reputation not be smeared by activists due to an association with SEGM.
I don't even know what to say.

Testing demand is spiking due to our state's (and nation's) current surge in cases that's being fueled by delta and omicron. Wait times and result turnaround times are increasing due to the enormous number of people showing signs of illness or being exposed.
As Covid cases reaches record highs in SC, @henrymcmaster remains silent. Gone are the press conferences, warnings against gatherings, urging to get vax'd. His dereliction of duty is encouraging the spread of a deadly disease that kills people. The #McMasterDisaster
