In authoring #MeasureG, @LindseyPHorvath has done something that very few elected officials ever do.
1. Reduce her own political power.
2. Jeopardize her own re-election prospects.
But she prefers more democratic county governance and bringing Los Angeles County into the 21st century rather than protecting her own personal political ambitions.

As @SalinasPD endeavors to recruit more good baby cops, I would recommend the @CityofSalinas not use Gabe Carvey in any advertisements for cops.

In California progressive politicians love to put regressive sales taxes on the ballot - because they don’t know how to manage their govt. budgets. The @CityofSalinas is a prime example when they passed #MeasureG a regressive sales tax sold as a road and sidewalk repair, quality of life need.
They built a $55 million dollar police department when @SalinasPD is unable to hire qualified people to become officers. SPD is losing officers - hemorrhaging cops is more accurate. SPD is down from “minimum” staffing by ordinance, 139 sworn - to 120 sworn. 9 cops are free to patrol for a city of 165,000 - 180,000 and racked with the problems more poor communities are burdened with.
And our elected officials have the balls to put all this on their marketing from the perspective of, everything is fine and we have great leaders.
One of those leaders is a closeted homosexual who preys on young men who has plunged himself into a local, I kid you not, right wing, ultra conservative Presbyterian church that left the P’s to align with a more conservative body that doesn’t not accept homosexuality. Funny, since Steve McShane is a flamer.
These are the phonies who push high taxes on the people, the middle class, while lying their asses off to us all.
