1/ Tora V1 is printed (in PLA)! (@Rattapoom_K’s 20cm V4 frame for scale) Not as tall, and heavier. Result of integrating frame/armor. Issue: arm posability compromised. Designing lockable joints, then print new arms. #mechacommunity #3Dprint
Still working the kinks out of Project Tora. The arm ball joints didn’t work, the pieces are just too heavy (despite being hollow). #3dprinting new modifications in the meantime. 20cm tall standing on its heels. Starting to take shape! #mechacommunity #planerunner
Hit a Setback(tm). 15 hours into a 20 hour print, the #anycubic filament sensor bracket goofed up. Filament jammed in the extruder and ruined the print. 2nd attempt successful, but took part of the Ultrabase bed surface with it. Heckin’ heck! #3dprinting #mechacommunity
#3dprinting the Tora’s arm caused some challenges. Warping from cooling too fast is one issue. Supports and print speed was another. Working out the solutions is tedious, but rewarding! Final figure will eventually be 8-9” tall. #mechacommunity #planerunner

/3 Thanks to @Rattapoom_K, I know how to make proper joints now. Also, m3 screws are perfect for 20cm tall figures. Rattapoom's are approximately 1/24 scale. I might document my methods. It took a long time to learn. #mecha #mechacommunity #3dprint
