Today's #MegaDriveMay game is Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse ! One of the earliest major platformers on the system it showed how good Genesis games could look, sound and play. It's a bit short and easy, but still great!

More #MegaDriveMay! Today's game is Wonderboy in Monsterworld! It was a Metroidvania before Metroidvanias were a thing. It's unusually bright and colorful for a Genesis game and looks and sounds great! That last boss is AWFUL though!

This guy had to turn up sometime during #MegaDriveMay. The first #Bubsy is an ambitious platformer in the vein of Sonic and does a few things pretty well, some others... not so much. I´m not a fan of one-hit-kills and fall-damage. This post is dedicated to my friend @PC98_Audi.
More #MegaDriveMay! Today, here's my favorite driving game on the system: OutRun! Many rag on this port but shouldn't. It was the best home version you could get until it hit Saturn. This one is better than the PCE one and I'll die on that hill.

#MegaDriveMay has not ended yet. we can say that the ninjas shone in the Mega Drive, and this is eternalized for me for bringing an action close to the original arcade, super exciting music, and on top of that, we have a DOG! And this can never be underestimated!

What´s special about Gauntlet IV on #MegaDrive? Well, apart from being the first title made by @M2_game and @hor11, it´s also an absolutely amazing port that goes above and beyond in terms of features and game modes - and has a great score by @HitoshiSakimoto. #MegaDriveMay
More #MegaDriveMay! Here's a classic: Golden Axe! An early arcade port, it wasn't perfect but it looked and sounded close to the arcade game considering its tiny cartridge size of 512k. By far the best contemporary home version.

Another day of #MegaDriveMay, another #shmup. Elemental Master is a lesser-known game on #MegaDrive by #Technosoft: The vertical scrolling fantasy-shooter shares some elements and assets with Thunder Force. The final boss-rush is a bit annoying but otherwise it's quite excellent.
It's #MegaDriveMonday and #MegaDriveMay! Today's game is... Dr. Robtonick's Mean Bean Machine. The first US release of Puyo Puyo, it was a revelation back in the day. Sure newer versions added a lot to it, but that was great when it came out!

The #MegaDrive has not many action-adventures. But there are highlights like Ragnacenty or Soleil, as it's known in Europe. It's short, but good and has beautifully fluent sprite-animation. There's also a quasi-sequel an Saturn: Linkle Liver Story. #MegaDriveMay #MegaDriveMonday
