Messier 81 (M81), also known as Bode’s Galaxy, is a grand design spiral galaxy located in the constellation Ursa Major. Approximately 11.8 million light-years from Earth, it is one of the brightest galaxies visible from the Northern Hemisphere. M81 features well-defined spiral arms rich with stars, gas, and dust, and it is a prominent member of the M81 Group. Its interaction with nearby galaxy M82 has influenced its structure and star-forming regions. Discovered by Johann Elert Bode in 1774, it remains a key subject for astronomical study.

Just looking through my #Messier81 data. Looks like I have 15.75 hours of good data (3 min, 5min, and 10 min subs). Need to seriously figure out HDR ...
Preliminary result (24 x 5 min) on #Messier81 #BodesGalaxy. I think I'll circle back for more data tonight. Too bad the core got blown out a bit. #astrophotography.
But I saw some traces of interstellar flux nebula. Definitely worth further imaging!
