@m_civillini Thanks for this piece, Matteo! There are documented cases of erasure of whole cemeteries in my home region #Hadrout. Azeris covered with asphalt an old cemetery in #MetsTagher village - turning it into part of the highway which connects Hadrout to #Shushi now.

#MetsTagher village (#Hadrout region) is currently under Azerbaijani occupation. As a result, the cemetery was razed to the ground and the cultural monuments were desecrated.

Pay close attention to this: Azerbaijan is systematically eradicating historical quarters + graveyards of Armenian villages in Artsakh. Clearly visible in #VerinTaghavard, but also in #MetsTagher and #Sighnakh in this thread. They date(d) back to the 10th to 13th centuries.

Wanted to highlight Verin (Upper) Taghavard in Martuni Region of Artsakh. Verin Taghavard was taken by Azerbaijani forces who torched much of the buildings and leveled a whole section of the village.
