I’ve been in Moncton two days in. Row for appointments. Today it was the neurologist it was a long appointment over a hour I’m not sure if Chester has hit the wall…. But I know I have😂. #MightyChester
Chester needs 2 metal rods in his spine. It will be the most major surgery he will undergo taking at least 5 hrs. Obviously there are risks but sometimes things just have to be done. It is an extremely painful recovery this is road I wish we didn’t have to travel. #MightyChester
We may be without our wheelchair van for sometime. Fortunately Social Development is getting us to our medical appointments through Miramichi Accessible Transport, Moncton todayHalifax Thursday Friday. #MightyChester
No matter how busy I am I try to have at least 15 minutes huggle time (snuggles & hugs) when Chester gets home from school I sing songs tell him how blessed I am to have him & how much I love him. It really is the best part of the day. #MightyChester
We have a wonderful girl who cuts Chester’s hair it is not an easy task as he cannot support his head very well but she is patient and always does a fab job. High Lite Hair in Miramichi is also wheelchair accessible. All ready for school 😊. #MightyChester
It’s Chester’s first day back at school after being off for nearly 2 months due to illness. He was really excited when I told him “Mr Roberto” (my nickname for Robert the bus driver) was taking him to school today. #MightyChester

Chester is legally blind however as it’s nerve damage there is a slight chance with time he may see more & as a result was prescribed glasses they arrived today. We don’t know how much more he can see but he is looking around everywhere😊. #MightyChester
Chester is up this morning wide eyed & bushy tailed his stats are good enough for us to continue his recovery at home. However we will be keeping him home until the new year so he can stay healthy for a fabulous Christmas. Thank you for all your prayers & support #MightyChester

Overnight oxygen was not enough for Chester and he had to be put on high flow oxygen therapy this reduces the work of breathing and can prevent the need for intubation. We are having more X-rays but as of this morning he is moving in the right direction. #MightyChester
