#MiksModules : Do you check the Brix on your automatic milk feeders? For an optical refractometer, be sure to add 1.1 to your Brix result for total solids to check consistency. Most MR's are looking for 15% but be sure to check your tags! #dairynutrition https://t.co/ao3e4UJjuw

#MiksModules: Faba Beans! These taproot pulses are excellent nitrogen fixaters, and love a cool, moist climate. About 95% of fababeans in Alberta are zero tannin (feedable to monogastrics), also offer excellent Rumen Degradable Protein for ruminants! #DairyNutrition #Fababean

#MiksModules 😂: Below is a nice Amisk barley silage.. BUT it was only 53% moisture. Kernels are not available to the cow and the NDF running through the rumen too fast. Going to try to slow the rate of passage as much as we can... but unfortunately.. #dilutionisthesolution here
