Again the DHS transfers homeless people with no mental-health or substance-abuse problems to MH and MICA shelters in large numbers. I call it #miscategorization and #ShelterMisassignment, a form of #ShelterTransferAbuse by #PsychiatrizationOfHomelessness.

It’s sad to see so many homeless women & man being bounced from MICA shelter to MICA Shelter that don’t even meet the criteria of MICA! They have NEVER Been diagnosed w/ a Mental Illness & have NO HISTORY Of Chemical Abuse!!!!#TheShelterSystemNEEDSChanges

@danbherman @emmytiderington I wonder how large the scale of #miscategorization and #misassignment is, eg. of people with no special needs as ones with MH and or SA problems to send them to MH/SA/MICA shelters or supportive housing where they don't belong and keep the spaces from others who do.

@saur008 @abhi_d_twittest @TheRestlessQuil @nistula @Angie_Tribecca @deepsealioness @In_deep_trance Exactly !! #Metoo is not #validation but just a platform to speak out. So #LetThemSpeakOutFirst ,voices bottled up for so long,out of fear,shame etc. There would be #FaLsePositives due to:- a) #Miscategorization coz of Confusion/Lack of Clear understanding b) #IntentionaLMaLice !
