#MomentsOfHorror in #Glasgow: For Halloween I had this nightmare that someone put incongruously cheerful musical gates on Sir Leslie Martin’s rather earnest (it’s a wee bit on the fascist side) Glasgow Royal Concert Hall but, unfortunately, I can’t seem to wake up from it…😳😱!

#MomentsofHorror in #Glasgow: This is one of my favourite warehouses in the Merchant City so it’s distressing to see the cracked cast iron pipe and the holderbatts coming loose. Nevertheless, as it #NationalMaintenanceWeek I thought it worth pointing out that this needs fixed😢!

#MomentsofHorror in #Glasgow: When I saw it last year, this sizeable timber beam in a ‘B’ listed ‘Building at Risk’ superficially appeared to be ok, but sadly looks can be deceptive as inside it was rotten to the core which makes for a fascinating cross section…👇👀😬😱!

#MomentsofHorror in #Glasgow: As it’s #Halloween today here’s Glasgow’s most haunted door case at the appropriately named Castle Chambers. It’s got all the little #Lovecraft touches, the empty eye sockets and the screaming devils on console brackets above = scary stuff…😱👻🎃👿!

#MomentsofHorror in #Glasgow: The best example of a ‘Glasgow Square’, Royal Exchange Square should be one of the finest urban spaces in our city and yet the southern side is blighted by vacancy, outcrops of Buddleja and water saturated stonework. The Square needs saving…👇😡🤯!

#MomentsofHorror in #Glasgow: Back “Up on the Roof”, the new Elgin Place student housing abuts the John Burnet Snr tenement which sat next to The Shack and the architects have struggled to create a seal between the Victorian chimney and the new building = a messy botched job😬🤦‍♂️!

#MomentsofHorror in #Glasgow: spotted this horror story on a Building at Risk. It shows how incredibly invasive Buddleja can be, the roots growing into the cavity of the wall and over time prising apart the building and bricks until it falls apart. Impressive but damaging…🤔😱!
