The Munich Security Conference (#MSC-2025) security report has been published. The report is titled "Transition to Multipolarity" (#Multipolarization).
The report comprehensively analyzes the shifts in global power balance and the effects of this transformation on the international order. Multipolarity is taking shape. However, it is still too early to give a clear definition of what will happen.
This statement is included: "Today's international system contains elements of unipolarity, bipolarity, multipolarity, and nonpolarity."
This is actually the issue. Why do we talk about "poles"? Why do we try to understand "polarization"? Is it really necessary? The discussion of all these seems to do more to increase confusion than anything else.
In #Germany - #Munich, the notable point is that the #USA is telling #Europe to "look after yourself, get your security act together." Europe should not kick the ball out of bounds. It shouldn't try to send messages to the USA by alluding to #Russian and #Chinese arguments. Such an approach is also not realistic. Making the confusion even more confusing benefits no one.

Konu da bu aslında. Neden “kutup” konuşuyoruz? Neden “kutuplaşma”yı anlamaya çalışıyoruz? Bu çok mu gerekli? Hepsinden bahsediliyor olması sanki bulanıklığı arttırmaktan öte geçmiyor.
#Almanya - #Münih’te belirgin olan husus, #ABD’nin #Avrupa’ya “kendine dikkat et, güvenlik konusuna çeki düzen ver” demesidir. Avrupa topu taça atmasın. #Rus ve #Çin argümanlarına çağrışım yaparak ABD’ye mesaj vermeye kalkmasın. Bu yaklaşım da gerçekçi değil. Bulanıklığı biraz daha bulandırmak kimseye fayda sağlamaz.

Because the world is bigger than the West had thought. The geographical West is different from what it is in the political or economic sense.
