Today in the spotlight is #museummaker Kiran Patel. Kiran grew up in Luton & has created art for collectors of original art worldwide since 2014 & worked with brands such as Starbucks & Shiseido. Her exhibition 'Unfurling Beauty' will open at Wardown House in August.

Meet today’s #MuseumMaker, Henry Woolls. Henry was born in Cirencester in 1867. We don’t know anything about his education or early life, but in 1888 he married Louisa Studt, whose family of German immigrants were travelling showmen in South Wales and Gloucestershire.
Today's #MuseumMaker is Fusi (full name unknown). Fusi worked with Percy and Antoinette Powell-Cotton in South Africa in 1935. His role was to skin animals for packing and shipping to England, which was a very specialist and skilled role.
For #IWD2021 our #MuseumMaker is Matha Oho, pictured here with her daughters English (L) and Kaiser (R) and English’s daughters Phyllis (L) and Mamie (R). Matha was also known as Joe Merfield...
Today's #MuseumMaker is Oscar Van Audenhove (2nd left on doorstep of Quex House). Oscar was a Belgian solider who arrived at Quex House when it was an auxiliary military hospital in December 1914. He had a wound to his leg but recovered well...
Our first #MuseumMaker of 2021 is ‘Jesse’ (we don’t know his full name). He was a cook’s assistant for the Powell-Cottons in South Africa in 1935. He took Antoinette P-C to visit his homestead and meet his family. He also gave her objects for the Museum's collection.

Today we’re back with another #MuseumMaker. George Frederick Pinfold (1876-1945), a taxidermist, was curator at the Powell-Cotton Museum from 1921 until his death in 1945 at the age of 68 [1/7].

Today's #MuseumMaker is Peter. He was a young man educated at the Mumias Mission School in the far west of Kenya, on the border with Uganda. He worked for Percy as an interpreter for a short time as he spoke (and wrote) English well.
This week's #MuseumMaker is Fred Merfield. Fred was a hunter in Cameroon between 1910-1940s. He employed local people to collect animals as scientific specimens that were sold through Percy Powell-Cotton. Here's Fred in his dressing gown....with an ostrich [1/3]
