🔹 Problem #1: Valuation of IP Assets is Uncertain
IP assets (trademarks, patents, copyrights) are difficult to appraise, leading to inconsistent valuations and risk for lenders.
🚀 Solution POV:
1.1) On-chain registration ensures IP provenance and historical data tracking, creating transparent valuation metrics based on past licensing, royalty streams, and usage history.
1.2) Automated smart contracts enable lenders to see real-time revenue generation, making valuation more accurate and reliable.
🔹 Problem #2: Lack of Liquidity & Collateralization Issues
Traditional financial institutions hesitate to accept IP as collateral due to high default risk and difficulty in reselling IP assets.
🚀 Solution POV::
2.1) Tokenisation of IP assets allows for fractional ownership and liquidity in DeFi markets.
2.2) Lenders can trade or stake IP-backed assets in secondary markets, reducing risk exposure.
2.3) Smart contracts can enable dynamic collateralization, adjusting loan terms based on real-time asset performance.
🔹 Problem #3: Enforceability of IP Rights in Case of Default
If a borrower defaults, enforcing IP seizure and reselling the asset is legally complex and costly.
🚀 Solution POV:
3.1) Programmable IP Licenses (PIL) ensure automated, enforceable smart contract-based ownership transfers upon default.
3.2) On-chain IP graphs create an immutable record of ownership and rights, making it easier for lenders to reclaim and resell IP assets without lengthy legal disputes.
