This was written last night, during & shortly after the FT whistle. I'm not going to tweak it, just wanted to delay posting it so that people could process the result. There were positives, but #LCFC deserved to lose & that's the biggest problem — too often this season. #NapLei

To sit inside of a deep-block, like #LCFC did to start the second half, & allow players to roam between the lines (freely) — able to receive & impact, is fundamentally wrong. These are basic principles of football being performed at an alarmingly poor level. #NapLei

Here's a freeze-frame 5-10 seconds prior to their third goal where the majority of Napoli’s midfield/attacking unit was between #LCFC’s midfield/defence; this positioning is fundamentally wrong — how can a midfield three allow that to happen? #NapLei

Bertrand’s positioning for both goals in the first half was awful. Firstly, he’s advanced prematurely — consequently, Söyüncü has to force a bad pass into Tielemans because there’s a lack of supporting options from the left-side (he should just use Schmeichel). #NapLei

Out of possession, Vardy’s press lacks the intensity of Daka’s. He waits for a mistake from the CB’s — which in elite football is infrequent and thus looks laboured. Daka presses regardless & makes himself a constant nuisance, the Villa game is a good example. #NapLei

"Offensively, we were really bright, really good. There was two sides the game and the defending side, which is fundamentally a really important side, was nowhere near that." - Brendan Rodgers on #NapLei.

Un Napoli ampiamente rimaneggiato dà una prova di forza e di carattere, battendo il Leicester dopo essersi fatto rimontare dal 2-0. Tutti quanti hanno dato l'anima in campo: è di questo che dobbiamo essere contenti! #ForzaNapoliSempre #NapLei #UEL
