Shadow and Metal become sort of boyfriends in this AU, but they're not exclusive. Metal especially has stuff to explore about people. He does this with Amy and Sonic (but he doesn't know lmao) but he loves Shadow dearly. Metal is also autistic in this AU. my boi. #NEONFORGERY
The Eggline Family! Metal hates it here, especially seeing Omlette as a do-over. He also distrusts Starline because he's alr tried to pull his dad out of retirement once. He doesn't know what dad sees in him! He's a creep! And his new clone sister is annoying! Ugh! #NEONFORGERY
Sonic isn't so much of a character in this story than an omnipresent force. Shadow hates talking about him, Amy does it for comfort. Sonic is on adventures for mostly, but he comes to Neon City when the ballroom scene kicks up. So basically, Sonic in drag fucks. #NEONFORGERY
Amy opens a bakery in Neon City sometime after Metadow get closer! She's a bit of a basketcase also trying to make her own life apart from Sonic, but she keeps losing herself a little in this process. Metal and she become very close, providing each other comfort. #NEONFORGERY
Shadow has started therapy! He's improving his social life using a persona Terios in gay bars, though normally still reserved and introverted. He moves to Neon City to avoid rent since he works Freelance. He and Sonic have bad history, but he finds respite in Metal. #NEONFORGERY
Metal is allowed to finally develop his AI outside of Sonic's biodata and grows into his own person. He's a man of neutral morals and desperately wants to be a Real Boyβ’, hence the skinsuit! Eggman is overprotective of him so he sneaks out at night to be rebellious. #NEONFORGERY
I'd love for everyone to enjoy this basic idea because I think it's fun! This AU however will have some more mature themes. I'll be tagging individual posts with warnings as usual, but you can block the tag #NEONFORGERY in case you're avoiding most of the listed themes:
