#NEWTHISMORNING: State requested detention, not bond in the case given minor children’s involvement. Judge agreed Gosnell’s detention hearing will be set for Monday afternoon and he will remain in custody until then.
#BREAKINGNEWS: Charleston County Magistrate Judge James B. Gosnell was suspended by the Supreme Court. Documents state Gosnell’s “continued service as a magistrate in Charleston County poses a substantial threat of serious harm to the public and the administration of justice.”

There were wild swings in the #EquityIndices as most #EnergyFutures fell moderately while #MetalFutures, Currencies, and #BondsTreasuriesFutures rallied on this morning's August #NFP report which showed only 22,000 jobs were added last month when 75,000 were expected and the #UnemploymentRate rose to 4.3%.
#FuturesContracts:
The volume in the CME #CurrencyFutures is beginning to switch to the December contracts; however, the #ForexFutures are not expected to rollover to the "Z" contracts until early next week.
The volume in RBOB #GasolineFutures shifted to the November contract this morning. The volume in #HeatingOilFutures is also rolling over to the "X" contract.

President @realDonaldTrump signed an Executive Order #TrumpTarrifs #TarrifDeal last night implementing a 15% tariff floor on Japanese imports, which includes $550 billion in investments and opens Japan's agriculture markets including rice and soybeans.

Markets jumped around at 7:30am ET when President @realDonaldTrump proposed cutting #ChinaTariffs from 145%, posting that he'd accept "80% tariff on China seems right! Up to Scott B.," ahead of this weekend's #USchinaTradeTalks negotiations with China. Also, the New York Post reported this morning that the US is considering cutting #ChinaTariffs to as low as 50% as soon as next week.
Meanwhile, Reuters is reporting that India is offering to cut #IndiaTariffs the tariff gap with the US to under 4% from about 13% in exchange for an exemption from tariffs.
#FuturesContracts:
The volume in both #GasolineFutures and #HeatingOilFutures is shifting to the July contracts and are expected to rollover to the "N" contracts in the early next week.
