TBH, it's hard to believe they’re doing this. It’s a strategic blunder of #NHSEx's "rush out the #GPDataGrab now" category: bad for the public and #patients; bad for #research; bad for the integrity of statistics - but 'Hello, gift horse!' as it makes advocacy far easier for us.

The #GoldacreReview is conspicuous by its absence... is @NHSEngland rolling back the requirement of #TREs for ALL patient-level data? And will NHSE admit #disseminating GP data is dangerous to every patient in its remit? Because NHSE will no longer be able to blame someone else.

That every use of patients' data is #consensual, #safe & #transparent, i.e. #trustworthy; principles @NHSX & @NHSEngland have notably failed to uphold. e.g. over a year after first asked, #NHSEx is still only "developing" a "data dissemination register": https://t.co/IvpPksVBOV
