My car is covered in a layer of ice. I’ve never experienced an ice storm before. Over 50,000 people without power apparently. We were quite fortunate and only went without for a few minutes throughout. #nsicestorm #icestorm #novascotia #nswinter #NSStorm

#NSstorm #NSicestorm was outside listening to trees move covered in ice. Occasionally you would hear a deep crack of a tree snapping followed by what sounded like glass breaking as the ice shattered @weathernetwork

#NSstorm #NSicestorm last night quite something! Middle Sackville @nspowerinc power out since about 330pm @Eastlink phone lines down too. Worst ice storm I’ve witnessed @weathernetwork gave a good heads up #StaySafe

A huge thank you to the NS Power @IBEW Local workers who are climbing poles and the mechanics getting people back in the grid. It’s hard work! #nspoli #nsicestorm
