That's exactly what I said this morning! From Google AI - Could be nano-particles being sprayed over large areas! In a fictional scenario, nanotech could be used to create a "utility fog" over a population, where tiny nanobots suspended in the air could potentially be manipulated to perform various functions like surveillance, information dissemination, even physical manipulation, all while appearing as a seemingly harmless fog. Key aspects of this concept: "Foglets":These are the individual nanobots that make up the fog, designed to be small enough to be invisible to the naked eye and able to interact with each other to form complex shapes or structures. Manipulation and control: The fog could be controlled by a central system, allowing for targeted manipulation of the nanobots to perform specific tasks like creating visual displays, delivering targeted messages, or even physically interacting with objects. Potential applications (hypothetical):Surveillance: The fog could be used to track individuals by monitoring their movements and collecting data. Information dissemination: Displaying messages or visuals directly in people's field of vision. Environmental control: Potentially filtering pollutants from the air.Military applications: Creating camouflage or disrupting enemy communications. https://t.co/uBr086OpYd
