Calving season has been a bit of a learning curve in relation to the new DNA tissue tagging. But overall it has gone very well so far. Just needs a change of mindset, the key to it is sending off tissue tags regularly 👍

Calving in full swing here , very happy with the new genotyping tags and sample bottles.
The new herdplus app also allows me to check to see when the DNA samples are in the lab etc.

Calving in full swing , 6 calved so far. Genotyped tissue tags are posted off to the lab twice a week and the blue BVD tissue tags go to the Coop for collection as per usual.

Finally got around the genotyping my cows today amd sent off the samples. I signed up for the National genotyping programme earlier in the year. All my stock are now genotyped.
