I write for a major media group in Israel and have conducted front-page interviews with Israeli and international officials, including Netanyahu. Since the war began, Netanyahu has not granted interviews to mainstream Israeli media but did sit down with Time magazine and got a cover. He also had an interview with a Putin-style TV station owned by his supporters. Bibi avoids Israeli journalists to escape tough questions and scrutiny. For example, he falsely claimed in Time that all of the defense apparatus said Hamas was deterred. The truth is that the Israeli Shin Bet, the body very much responsible for the Palestinian arena, repeatedly warned Hamas was planning its war of independence and is not deterred. The IDF thought differently. BIbi made the wrong call. This highlights how Israeli journalists would challenge his misleading statements - and really, just one example.
